Play in a browser
Open the official itch.io page and select Run game. This is the route to try before installing a download. The developer recommends PC because mobile-browser touch play is not smooth.
Open the official browser demo →You can play the demo now in a browser on itch.io or download it for Windows from itch.io or Steam. The full game is still Coming soon. The developer plans to announce its release date in November 2026; that does not mean the game releases in November. Choose a demo for the way you want to play; the full-game additions below remain future plans.

The practical choice is browser access versus an installed Windows game. Both official stores describe the same 2,990-book sorting task.
Open the official itch.io page and select Run game. This is the route to try before installing a download. The developer recommends PC because mobile-browser touch play is not smooth.
Open the official browser demo →Use Download Now on the same page for the Windows executable. The current file is labeled Demo 1.0.3. The download is listed as name your own price; check that listing rather than mistaking a demo download for the future full game.
The controls guide includes the documented windowed-mode fallback.
Open the separate demo listing and choose Install Demo. It is listed as a Free Demo, with Windows 10 in the minimum requirements. Use this option if you want the demo in your Steam library.
Open the official Steam Demo →The developer describes it as nearly the same as the itch.io version, with some polish and accessibility improvements. That supports choosing by platform and installation preference; it does not establish identical files, identical saves or a larger archive in the Steam Demo.

The September 13 plans and October 12 Steam update describe the additions below. They are full-game plans, not features you should expect to unlock by finishing the Demo. Check the scope before spending time looking for a locked option. [1]
An additional skill tree is planned for further upgrades. The announcement does not give a complete tree or purchase costs.
Plans include shelf styles, decorations, book-cover styles and archive themes. Cover designs may change the difficulty of recognizing books.
The September update called Workshop probable; the October 12 announcement now explicitly describes custom Workshop support as a full-game plan. It does not provide a working Demo theme editor or import instructions. If you want custom categories or titles today, wait for the developer’s release and Workshop instructions rather than treating a locked Demo control as something you must grind to unlock.
Release-date check, October 27, 2026: the full-game listing still says Coming soon. The October 25 announcement says the date will be announced in November; it does not name that date or announce a price. Play the available Demo for the current sorting task, or wait for the date announcement if you want the expanded game. [2]
For goals after a completed run, see the completion guide’s Demo versus full-game checklist.
The Steam Demo lists Steam Cloud, but the checked sources do not document importing an itch.io browser or executable save. Save your current run before switching, and keep the original version available until you have checked your progress. Do not clear browser data on the assumption that Steam has copied it.
The itch.io listing names HTML5 and Windows; the Steam Demo requirements list Windows. Neither checked listing establishes a native Mac or Linux download. The browser edition is a separate option to try, not a guarantee of compatibility on every browser or device.
No. In the release announcement, the developer says Steam Deck had not been tested. See the input and touchscreen limits before choosing a device.
For the quickest browser start, use itch.io; for a Steam-library installation on Windows, use the separate free demo listing. Keep the full-game listing for its future release information.
